Stewart Tilghman Fox Bianchi & Cain, P.A. is glad to announce that Attorney Gary Fox has been selected to the 2019 edition of The Best Lawyers in America©. He was chosen in two practice areas: Medical Malpractice Litigation for Plaintiffs and Personal Injury Litigation for Plaintiffs. This marks the twentieth year that Mr. Fox has been featured in the annual publication, which lists the top legal practitioners in each practice area and in each region nationwide.
Best Lawyers® utilizes a rigorous peer-driven nomination process that allows lawyers in the same practice areas and metropolitan regions to nominate the top practitioners in their field. Each of the qualifying nominees is then peer-reviewed to create a list built on consensus, ensuring that each attorney on the list is known for his or her work, reputation, and results.
Mr. Fox’s continuous inclusion over the last 20 years isn’t just a testament to his skill and formidable legacy as a trial lawyer—it’s a testament to his unchanging, unwavering commitment to his clients and his craft.
The Champion for Plaintiffs Nationwide
As a 40-year veteran of trial litigation, Mr. Fox is one of the founders of STFBC and a well-known champion of plaintiffs across the country. Last year he was inducted into the Lawdragon Hall of Fame—an honor only 52 lawyers can claim. He is also a member of the Inner Circle of Advocates, a group of 100 select plaintiffs lawyers who gather together to help shape the practice of plaintiff advocacy.
Gary Fox has been called a “lion” when it comes to litigation, and his case record includes some historical landmarks—his work on behalf of Terri and Michael Schiavo, for instance, led to a substantial medical malpractice recovery arising from the events that led to Terri’s coma. Mr. Fox also represented NFL cornerback Samari Rolle in a medical malpractice lawsuit. The result was the first medical malpractice verdict in 12 years where a North Carolina jury ruled in the plaintiff’s favor.
Mr. Fox also represented a rape victim in her lawsuit against Carnival Cruise Lines, a story which received national attention when Carnival was forced to disclose how often sexual assault takes place aboard its vessels.
Attorney Gary Fox has been a colossal presence in the field of trial law for decades. We are honored to continue building what he began in 1984 when he founded STFBC, and we look forward to the groundbreaking case Mr. Fox will achieve next.
