Gary began practicing law in 1976, becoming partner of his firm before leaving to form a firm of his own. His work in civil trial law over a 40-year career contains a multitude of notable cases, plaintiffs, and results, cementing his place as one of the foremost attorneys practicing today. As an individual, he has achieved 100 verdicts and settlements worth $1 million or more.
In his long career, Gary has been involved in high-profile cases with some well-known plaintiffs. His past clients have included boxing champion Floyd Mayweather, Baseball Hall of Famer Eddie Matthews, and All-Pro NFL cornerback Samari Rolle. Gary also won a massive verdict for a young woman in a coma named Terri Schiavo over the medical negligence she suffered. It was that very verdict that became the center of the rift that led to the Schiavo family’s international publicity.
Due to his accomplishments as a legal practitioner and as a scholar, Gary is one of the country’s most sought-after lecturers at legal seminars and conventions. To date, he has lectured at more than 200 legal events nationwide and has been an often-requested speaker at well over 100 events and workshops for the legal community. Even in the current pandemic, Gary has spoken at web seminars remotely, sharing his experience and knowledge whenever the opportunity arises with the legal and judicial communities.
